AANHPI Book Club with Aya
Tomb Sweeping by Alexandra Chang
MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2026 from 6 - 7 pm
at Jade of All Trades, Beverly
Join us for Lucky Knot Arts’ inaugural book club meeting!
We’ll kick off with Tomb Sweeping by Alexandra Chang, “a playful and deeply affective short story collection about the histories, technologies, and generational divides that shape our relationships.”
The stories take place across the U.S. and Asia — here’s a peek at some of them:
A woman known only to her neighbors as “the Asian recycling lady” collects bottles from the streets she calls home.
A young college grad ponders the void left from a broken friendship.
An unfulfilled housewife in Shanghai finds a secret outlet for her ambitions in an undercover gambling den.
Two strangers become something more through the bond of mistaken identity.
We’ll have a guided, low-key discussion — we’re here for community and conversation.
Registration is free, but space is limited. Reserve your spot now! We welcome folks ages 18+.
