AANHPI Book Club with Aya
Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto
SUNDAY, JUNE 21, 2026 from 4 - 5 pm
at Proyectos Punto, Salem, MA
For a fun summer read, in conjunction with our HOMECOMING art exhibit, we’ll be discussing Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto.
What’s the book about?
Hilarious hijinks with a Chinese-Indonesian flair. Meddy Chan is part of the family wedding business, with her mom and aunties. When Meddy accidentally kills her blind date, the 4 aunties come to the rescue to hide the body during a high-profile wedding. The plot thickens with theft and framing and even a splash of long-lost romance. And remember: There’s always time for mango snacks.
How does the book club work?
No pressure to finish the book! We’ll have a guided, lowkey discussion. We’re here for community and good conversation. We welcome folks ages 18+.
